Welcome back to school! We hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season!
Healthy Active School Challenges - January
6-10th: Make a healthy goal for the week and try and achieve it
13-17th: Dance for 20 min. each night
20-24th: Have water instead of sugary drinks in your lunch each day
27-31st: Do some form of exercise with your family each day
This Week We Are Learning:
Science: We are beginning a brand new unit called Hot and Cold Temperatures and will be integrating it with our Social Studies unit on Nunavut.
Math: Students are working on number sense.
Language Arts: We are working on our unit based on Owl Moon by Jane Yolen.
Word sorts: New word sorts should be in agendas today; please practice with your child.
Home reading: Please write and initial your child’s reading minutes on his/her calendar for the month of December within the agenda.
Library: We have library on Mondays; please ensure library books are sent back to be exchanged for new exciting books!
Social: Students are learning about living in Nunavut and what life is like up North.

- Websites: We have started our very own websites!! They are not published yet (as we need to do a little more work!) but we are learning about using our Chromebooks to do fun and exciting web design and blogging.
